using geometric shapes as masks for photoshop filters — let the filtration ‘spread’ or contract as the mask expands or contracts — use 2 images & let the masks bring out more —

sequentially cycle through the masks and change the transparency /opacity of the images — possibly some spiral movement or something — masks made from wave or glass filters —

use of wave or glass filters to make ‘color filters’ to overlay on an image —
use different types of overlay and progressively move through them
use different envelopes —
